On the afternoon of July 1, 2023, the second academic conference on intestinal microbiota transplantation, hosted by the Shandong Provincial Institute of Precision Medicine for Big Health and organized by Shandong Dianzhizhi Biotechnology Co., Ltd., was successfully held.

Professor Li Qiang pointed out that records related to intestinal microbiota transplantation can be traced back to the Eastern Jin Dynasty, specifically in Ge Hong's "Emergency Prescription for After the Elbow". In recent years, with the continuous in-depth research on gut microecology, intestinal microbiota transplantation has become a research hotspot for treating both intestinal and extra-intestinal diseases. He hopes that through this academic conference, leveraging the communication platform of the Shandong Provincial Institute of Big Health, it can better promote the standardization and normalization of intestinal microbiota transplantation.

Professor Yang Weihua's lecture was titled "Clinical Application of Bacterial Solution Prepared by Fully Automatic Fecal Pretreatment Instrument". He elaborated on the theoretical basis of gut microecology, clinical applications of intestinal microbiota transplantation, and bacterial solution preparation, hoping to further improve the safety, automation, intelligence, and standardization of bacterial solution preparation through the fully automatic fecal pretreatment instrument, minimizing potential risks. This special lecture was hosted by Sun Ai Qian, Director of the Gastroenterology Department of Jinan Maternal and Child Health Hospital, affiliated with Shandong First Medical University.

Through the analysis and introduction of clinical cases of intestinal microbiota transplantation, he detailed the correlation between childhood autism and gut microbiota, as well as the therapeutic effects of intestinal microbiota transplantation on childhood autism. This special lecture was hosted by Gao Fengyu, Director of the Gastroenterology Department and the Digestive Endoscopy Center of Shandong Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital.

Professor Wang Yunshan, with the theme "Theoretical Basis for Multiple FMTs", provided a detailed explanation of the mechanisms of priority effects and key bacterial species, the correlation and causality between gut microbiota and diseases, the evolution of gut microbiota within hosts, factors influencing gut microbiota diffusion, delivery methods, and VMT, providing important theoretical support for the idea that "multiple intestinal microbiota transplantation interventions can achieve better clinical outcomes". This special lecture was hosted by Wang Mingyue, Director of Pediatrics at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
