On September 1, 2024, the election and establishment conference of the Microecological Medicine Professional Committee of the Shandong Provincial Health Management Association, hosted by the Shandong Provincial Health Management Association and organized by the Affiliated Central Hospital of Shandong First Medical University, was successfully held at the Affiliated Central Hospital of Shandong First Medical University! Leaders from the Shandong Provincial Health Management Association, well-known experts and scholars in the field of microecological medicine nationwide, and representatives from enterprises attended the meeting.

Professor Zhang Faming from Nanjing Medical University Affiliated Hospital, Professor He Xingxiang from the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical University, Professor Wang Yunshan from Jinan Central Hospital, Researcher Liu Chang from the National Key Laboratory of Microbial Technology at Shandong University, Professor Wang Yumei from Shandong Provincial Hospital, Professor Li Qiang from the Shandong Provincial Public Health Clinical Center, Researcher Liu Yuqing from the Public Health Research Office of the Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Professor Jiang Guosheng from Shandong First Medical University delivered academic lectures. The experts shared wonderful insights on the theme of "Microecological Medicine Research" from various perspectives, including basic research, clinical applications, and development prospects, providing a splendid academic feast for the attendees.

Zhang Shaoming from the group company gave a thematic presentation on "Solutions for Preparation and Quality of Intestinal Bacteria."

Professor Yang Weihua from Jinan Central Hospital introduced the Intestinal Microecology Diagnosis and Treatment Center of the Affiliated Central Hospital of Shandong First Medical University to the attending experts and scholars. This diagnosis and treatment center is the first specialized clinical department in Shandong Province to treat various diseases by regulating intestinal flora. In 2017, the Affiliated Central Hospital of Shandong First Medical University took the lead in Shandong Province to carry out intestinal flora transplantation, having treated thousands of patients, covering more than 20 diseases including intestinal and extra-intestinal diseases as well as brain diseases, with a total effective rate of over 80%. To better serve patients, the hospital established the Intestinal Flora Diagnosis and Treatment Center in May 2024. The center integrates clinical, scientific research, and popular science, forming a medical model that focuses on reshaping the balance of intestinal flora, with multi-departmental collaboration throughout the hospital, advancing both physical treatment and spiritual healing for patients. It provides comprehensive services targeting intestinal microecology for disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, recovery assessment, and nutritional guidance with first-class service and superb technology.

The attending experts and scholars visited the Intestinal Flora Diagnosis and Treatment Center on-site and had enthusiastic exchanges with the center's staff on topics such as clinical applications of intestinal microecology, quality assurance and safety enhancement of intestinal flora transplantation, and the construction and management of microecological departments.
